No, Orange is not my favorite color, so why are all my templates orange? Why do all my tools have an awareness ribbon on them? Why isn’t it pink? At Sue Pelland Designs, we have chosen to help fund the fight against Cancer, in particular, Chronic Mylogenous Leukemia. My son was diagnosed with CML over 3 years ago. He is being treated at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston MA for this unusual form of Leukemia. The awareness ribbon for Leukemia is an orange ribbon. On Saturday, June 26th, kids all over our home town of Upton, MA will ride in a 15 mile bike challenge, a smaller version of the adult Pan Mass Challenge. This yearly event raises funds for the Jimmy Fund Clinic at Dana Farber, where Timmy is treated. Timmy and his brother Jason are proud participants of this bike ride. Together with kids all over town, they raised $24,000 last year alone. This year, my boys hope to raise over $1000 for our favorite cause. Every purchase you make at Sue Pelland Designs will help the boys reach this goal. In June, a portion of your purchase will sponsor my two sons on their annual ride. Additional donations can be made by visiting the PMCkids.org (check out the links to the left) and seaching for Timmy or Jason Pelland. So, enjoy your new templates, chalk line or pattern, and remember Timmy every time you see that orange ribbon. My sincere thanks to you all for making this possible! Sue Pelland
