SKILL BUILDER: MAKING WAVES W/CURVY FABRICS: December 16, 11-3 pm (EST)
This workshop will demonstrate how to create fabric for quilt tops or blocks using one or more of the template edges to create curvy rows of various fabrics. The resulting fabric can be a quilt top by itself (landscapes or seascapes) or can be cut up into various shapes for piecing and borders. I used this technique on “Remembering Monet’s Garden” and played with every decorative stitch on my sewing machine! We can use this technique to test drive all the different stitches on your machine. You can also test out different threads on each wavy row to learn how different threads look on the applique edges. This will be a wonderful thread reference for future applique quilts. The technique is in Book One.
