I have been a passionate quilter for 40 years.  Sewing since the third grade, I did not learn to quilt until we moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1982.  I have a degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in Fisheries Biology, a Master’s in Education from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA, and three years of fine art studies at Munson Williams Proctor Institute (now affiliated with Pratt) in Utica, NY.  I previously taught science and biology in Duxbury, MA, Rome, NY, and Shreveport, LA.

I have taught quilt-making in local New Hampshire quilt shops and guilds.  I currently teach at Nashua Sew and Vac.  My quilts have garnered ribbons at the Nebraska State Fair, New England Images, The Gathering, Vermont Quilt Festival, NQA, and at Hannah Dustin and Amoskeag Quilt guild shows.

As a fan of needle-turn applique, I had not been a fan of fusibles until I was introduced to Mistyfuse and Sue Pelland Templates.  I am a convert!  The possibilities seem endless to me, and I am looking forward to helping students push the limits using these tools.  I have learned so much about quilting from many generous teachers and feel the obligation to share this knowledge.
