To Market, To Market...

I can't wait for Quilt Market in Minneapolis!  My Mom, Elaine, and I are flying out on Wednesday, setting up our booth on Thursday, and Market opens on Friday.  We will be in booth 2750, so please stop by to watch the Leaves Galore and Quilter's Chalk Line Demo firsthand.   If you can't make it to market, you can still watch the video on the link here on my home page.

Templates are HERE!

The templates did not arrive in time for MQX,  but that didn't stop anyone from buying one!  I was able to pick up the templates on Monday, and as of today, all 83 packages have been shipped out.  Thank you all for your patience.  I still have templates left, so I will be adding them to the shopping area of my website tonight.  I am able to take Master Card, Visa and Discover, if you send me an e-mail, or Paypal from the shopping cart. Gina and I will be working on the video next Monday.  Stay tuned!

New Quilting Tools are on their way!

Dear Friends, I am so excited to say that my dream of making and selling my own tools and patterns is finally coming true! My first retail show will be the Thimble Pleasures Quilt Guild Show in Upton, MA (my town!!) and will be held on March 13 and 14th at Blackstone Valley Tech. If you have never been to a quilt show before, you are in for a treat!  The guild will feature over 200 quilts and quilted articles on display for your viewing pleasure.  In addition, about 8 vendors will be on hand to satisfy your shopping needs!

Re-Energised~

I am so excited to be back from Quilt Festival in Houston. It was great to see all the fabulous quilts by the world's best quilt makers. Many of the winners at Houston were from the USA and Japan, but I also met quilters from Brasil, Australia, Wales, Finland and so many more countries! Quilting has taken over worldwide.

Photos by Jeff Lomicka

I went with a friend to meet Jeff Lomicka last week.  Jeff is a professional quilt photographer, and does all the photos for Images in Lowell.  He is a quilter, and has a great eye for shooting quilts to get all the color and texture into his photos.  I was so pleased with the results of our photo shoot, I only wish I had brought more quilts!

Quilt Show 2007

Deadlines.  That is the only way I get anything done!  I am going to have a few quilts professionally photographed this weekend, So I am in the process of remaking one of them.   First, I have to draw out the pattern from the original quilt.  Then, I will need to cut out all the pieces using a new fusible.  Do any of you have problems with Fusible the way that I do?  I always overheat the fusible, and end up having patches fall off my quilts. A friend suggested Steam a Seam 2, which is not so heat sensitive! We will see if this is true after God's Gift Quilt 2 is remade.
